Studio Jadu Debuts The Sentinels, Bringing an Artist-Led Original Series to YouTube
by Studio Jadu • October 30, 2026
“Some secrets wouldn’t stay buried.”
On Friday, October 30, Studio Jadu premiered The Sentinels, an anime-inspired supernatural thriller created by bestselling horror author Ajinkya Bhasme.
Directed by Nitin Burli and Sree Lakshmi, with Ruchir Joshi supervising, The Sentinels brings together watercolor-inspired backgrounds, oil-painted fire effects, and sharply outlined characters. Nine artists shaped its story, design, and performance using AIDA, Studio Jadu’s AI-powered production workbench, while keeping creative decisions in human hands.
Set during Christmas 2004 in the Andaman Sea, the story follows strangers on an illegal expedition to North Sentinel Island. Their captain gives them two rules: never light a fire, and never interact with anything on the island.
When one traveler breaks a rule, the ferry is destroyed. The survivors find themselves stranded, facing a hostile forest and an ancient force that appear to feed on fear and guilt. Among them is Shuki, a photographer haunted by a past death, whose camera can potentially reveal what their eyes cannot.
The Sentinels premiere launch, “Greed, Betrayal, and Death on North Sentinel Island,” combines the series’ first three episodes into one continuous viewing experience.
You can view this extended episode in its entirety on the Studio Jadu YouTube page, along with more episodes of The Sentinels and other original programming from Studio Jadu pioneers.
